Jersey City Urby

Bringing a new residential vision to a commercial site

Harborside has existed for 30 years as a successful business and commercial center. As Jersey City progressed into a world-class city, the owners of Harborside realized that introducing a vibrant residential element would further increase the allure of the complex. That’s why Mack-Cali Realty Corporation, Harborside’s owner, decided to partner with Ironstate. Our management strength, expertise in mixed-use communities, and innovative approach will allow the site to transform from a single-purpose experience to a signature waterfront living concept.

Meeting the challenge head-on, we developed and integrated a plan for the site including three 69-story towers comprising 2,358 residences and a signature design that achieves tremendous living density in a very small footprint. The project will provide a new east-west connection of Bay Street within Harborside and add public spaces and retail vibrancy to the neighborhood. The location provides unparalleled access to public transportation via the Exchange Place PATH station, the Hudson-Bergen Light Rail, and nearby ferry.

Ironstate is partnering with Roseland Residential Trust, a subsidiary of Mack-Cali Realty Corporation, to develop Jersey City Urby. The design concept was created in collaboration with acclaimed Dutch design firm Concrete.

With our partner, Ironstate, Jersey City Urby will be
part of our transformed waterfront — where we're creating a true
live, work, play neighborhood with amazing views of Manhattan.
This project is a key part of a series of developments transforming
Mack-Cali into a premier urban waterfront and transit-based office
and luxury multi-family owner
